Background
A holder of a Master's Degree in Music Psychology in Education from the University of Sheffield, Jennifer Lee’s primary research areas are in the fields of creativity, motivation and cognition on notation-reading in music learning. Jennifer is both an avid musician and a dedicated music educator with a rich and varied musical experience. These experiences range from performances and competitions with choirs and orchestras to productions in operas, musicals, and accompanying on the piano for singers and instrumentalists. Her field of specialisation in education includes pedagogical methods customised accordingly to the student’s needs and musical preferences. No stranger to innovations in music education, she also aims to bridge the gap between conventional and contemporary teaching methods. Jennifer’s work as a music educator has brought her to schools, teaching a varied range of musical fields in music theory, creative composition and the piano. In addition, she also nurtures and grooms her students through recitals and workshops, exposing them to other musical interests. Jennifer also holds a Bachelor of Science in Management with Honours from the University of London, as well as both a Certificate and Diploma in Teaching from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Her deep dedication to music education is well reflected by her constant drive to explore, examine and apply effective pedagogical methods into her teaching.
